Default Help?

Ok I have a guild and am a bit confused about the whole "Guild Hall" thing. Someone told me a I have to get about 60k in order to buy a signent off another guild, then travel to Lion's Arch and talk to a guy and give him the signent. Anything more? Anything less? Help? Want to donate? Please tell me.

You can buy it also from the Sigil trader (when you get on the boat and ride around looking at Halls). Then, once you have bought it, go to the island you like the best and give it to the Canthan Ambassador there.

You can get a Celestial Sigil from a player at any point in the game. However you cannot buy one from a vendor or actually get the guildhall with that sigil until you reach Lions Arch.

THe prices will vary depending on supply and demand and I won't venture to tell you a price but it should be well under the 100k it was a week ago.

You can tour the 6 options of guild hall islands from Lions Arch and if you have a sigil you can opt to get one.. From that point anyone in your guild in Post-Searing can access the guildhall from the big map.

As far as donations.. Look to your guild for help. It took several players from my own guild to donate when we bought our sigil.

Oh and the other way to get a sigil is to take a team into Tombs and win the Hall of Heroes. Not a practical option for small PvE guilds or inexperienced players, but you are always welcome to give it a try.

Well we are aiming for 60k. I have my guild members donating. We have like 17-18k.
How much does it cost from the vendor?

When I checked the Sigil trader, I think the price was about 64k a few days ago.

Well just a little closure. It was 79k when we saw it. My guild, Chaotic Destiny, tried despratly to win the HoH but failed misraible (we are not exactly a PvP guild). So! We did what we did best. We became hores for gold, er merc. for hire. You may have sceen us doing Defend the Wall for 50 gold before hand and 50 gold after per person in the group. Some of us did that and rushed about 100+ groups, then sold off the items for gold. (Total gain: about 20k)
The rest of us went on hunting runs and got quite a nice sum of about 2k per run. By the end of the week we had 62k. (Thanks to a 38k donation from an officer...)
We went to Lions Arch and started asking if anyone would sell a sigil for 62k + items. One of my officers found someone and I went to trade with him. He says "know what? I have to many from the HoH, just take it." and he did just that.... I wish I could remember his name to thank him but alas, I have it written somewhere on some forgotten peice of paper.... lost to the world under the mess of my desk....
Anyway we have a hall on warriors island now and all is well. Thanks for your help.

PS: I returned all the gold to the member in aprox. amounts. In the end I was left with a bonus 24k.
